Cannes ACID seçkisinde dünya prömiyerini yapan bu sarsıcı belgesel, İranlı yönetmen Sepideh Farsi ile Gazze’de yaşayan 24 yaşındaki foto muhabir Fatma Hassuna arasındaki bir yıllık video günlüklerinden oluşuyor. Fatma, “yüreğini eline al ve yürü” diyerek bombardıman altındaki yaşamını kaydederken, Farsi’nin lo-fi çekimleri bu tanıklığı yalın bir direniş ve sanat eserine dönüştürüyor. 16 Nisan 2025’te, filmin Cannes seçimi duyurulduktan bir gün sonra Fatma ve ailesi bir İsrail hava saldırısında yaşamını yitirdi. Making its world premiere in the Cannes ACID section, this profound documentary is composed of a year’s worth of video diaries exchanged between Iranian director Sepideh Farsi and Fatma Hassuna, a 24-year-old photojournalist living in Gaza. Guided by the mantra, “put your soul on your hand and walk,” Fatma chronicles her life under relentless bombardment, while Farsi's lo-fi footage transforms this testimony into an unvarnished work of resistance and art. Tragically, on April 16, 2025, one day after the film’s selection for Cannes was announced, Fatma and her family were killed in an Israeli airstrike. This devastating loss deepens the bond forged between the two women, transforming the film into both a powerful tribute to Fatma’s memory and an enduring testament to humanity.
